Membership Categories
- Alumni - Graduate of a 4 year accredited college/university with a Natural Science, Engineering, or Computer Science degree.
- Affiliate - An individual who does not meet the requirements of an alumni, but supports the goals of NSBE.
- Honorary - An individual selected by the membership who supports the goals of the organization.

- Telecommunications -
development of web publications to keep members, contributors, and others informed
- Finance -
development of financial resources, goals and objectives
- Public Relations -
identify and interface with target audiences
- Membership -
coordinates recruitment, orientation, and retention of members
- Programs -
coordinates programs and professional development activities
- Pre-College Initiative -
a liaison, a resource and support for student chapters, coordinates sixth grade through twelfth grade initiatives
- College Initiative - a liaison, a resource and support for student chapters, coordinates undergraduate through graduate school initiative
